STELLENBOSCH, 21 November 2015 - Womens Golf South Africa expresses its heartfelt condolences to Bob and friends of former Boland Ladies Golf president Lol Jones, who passed away on Friday 20 November.
“Lol fought a long and brave battle against cancer and we were deeply saddened to learn of her passing,” said Womens Golf South Africa president, Karen Olivant.
“We were all very happy that she could spend some time with us at the Sanlam Cancer Challenge National Final held recently at Sun City.
“Lol gave so much of herself to the game. She not only served the president of Boland Ladies Golf until November last year, but gave countless hours to the South African Disabled Golf Association.
“Her passion for the game was undeniable and her contribution was immeasurable. Her continuous efforts to grow and develop the women’s game in Boland will be her lasting legacy.
A Remembrance Service for Lol will be held at 15h30 on Wednesday, 25 November at Stellenbosch Golf Club.
